Announced that Iraqi Airways, on Thursday, on the transfer of aircraft 17 thousand people to the Holy Land to perform Hajj, stressing that the number of aircraft will reach about twenty next year 2014.

The Director General of the Iraqi Airways, Saad Mahdi, in an interview to (range Press), "The aircraft company transferred 17 thousand Iraqis to the Holy Land in Saudi Arabia, to perform Hajj," adding that "it was of Airports Baghdad and Basra and Najaf, Erbil and Sulaymaniyah. "

The Supreme Commission for Hajj and Umrah, has announced, in the (16 September 2013), the launch of the first flight with 360 Iraqis to the Holy Land, while road convoys launched in (the 23 of last September).

And declared the supreme body of the Hajj and Umrah, in (the second of April 2013), agreed with the Saudi authorities competent to be transferred (60 percent) of Iraqi pilgrims by air, that transmits the rest through port new Arar land, stressing that there will be four flights air daily, and revealed that the Saudi side "did not agree" to increase Iraq's share of the pilgrims.
