Zebari stressed the activation of the alasttratigi framework agreement between Baghdad and Washington

Agencies: Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari during his meeting with us Deputy Assistant Secretary Brett makork, the importance of activating the strategic framework agreement between Iraq and the United States and continued political support for the democratic process in the country.

Zebari also discussed Thursday with makork the security and humanitarian situation in Anbar province and the Government's efforts to eliminate terrorism in the province that Al-Qaeda took control of parts of them.

The Iraqi Foreign Ministry said that "the two sides stressed the importance of activating the strategic framework agreement between Iraq and the United States and a commitment to continuing political support for the democratic process in the country," the two sides also discussed "security and humanitarian situation in Anbar province and continued government efforts to defeat Al-Qaeda terrorism through communication with the people and tribes of the province and who stand with security forces to defeat terrorism."

She added that "were discussed and reviewed the bilateral relations especially deepen security cooperation between the two countries to combat terrorism, Zebari said the Iraqi Government estimate of us armaments to support Iraqi forces to improve their capacity to deal with terrorists and extremists."

"Discussed the latest developments of the Iraqi diplomatic moves and the UN Security Council to issue a presidential statement of the Security Council to support the Government's efforts in the counter-terrorism plans and communication with the citizens and the tribes of Anbar, requiring States to cooperate to eliminate Al-Qaeda."
