Ahmadinejad: Iran hopes to strengthen its relations with Iraqi Kurdistan

Tehran / With / follow-up: Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad Monday to establish close relationships more with Kurdistan neighboring Iraq, especially on the economic level, and during a meeting Prime Minister province autonomous, according to the website of the presidency of Iran.
Ahmadinejad stressed the Prime Minister of Iraq's Kurdistan region Barzani Nshiroan that close relations between Iran and the region autonomous could benefit Iraq.
The Iranian president said that "explore the existing capacities, especially in the field of trade, could allow us to advance a major step forward in relation to the economic relations between Iran and Iraq."
He added that "this will help in the prosperity and development of the two nations of Iran and Iraq."
Barzani certainly responded to the Kurdistan region of Iraq is ready to develop its relations with Iran, stressing that such a decision is of "great importance" for the Iraqi province.
Barzani also met Secretary General of the Supreme Council of the Iranian National Security Council Saeed Jalili, and announced that the trade exchanges between Iran and Iraq's Kurdistan region exceeded eight billion dollars, as reported by the ISNA news agency, without giving further details.
Jalili stressed the importance of preserving as much as possible to calm on the border between Iran and Iraqi Kurdistan. He explained that the "simple problems should not prevent the development of strategic plans."
