"According to the memorandum, both parties considered operating direct flights between Azerbaijani cities of Baku,, Nakhchivan, Ganja and Gabala and the Iraqi cities of Baghdad, Najaf, Basra, and Arbil," Ahmed said.

It is expected that the first flight will be operating between the cities of Baku and Najaf.

According to Trend both sides also discussed the issue of simplification of freight traffic between the countries.
