Recognized by the U.S. Embassy in Iraq, said Friday that one of its helicopters had to land near the Tigris River because of technical failure, hours after the accident, which was denied by Baghdad operations altogether, while confirming that he was re-helicopter to its headquarters in the Green Zone, the help of Iraqi forces.
A spokesman for the U.S. Embassy in Iraq, Michael McClellan in an interview for "Alsumaria News", "U.S. helicopter suffered a mechanical failure this morning, prompting the emergency landing," noting that "the pilot landed by helicopter near the Tigris River."
McClellan added that "the embassy immediately contacted the Iraqi forces, which responded quickly and cordoned off the place," noting that "the flatbed truck belonging to the Embassy were evacuated by helicopter to its headquarters in the Green Zone in central Baghdad, accompanied by Iraqi forces."
The Baghdad Operations Command denied the words of the team spokesman, Qasim Atta, earlier in the day, any aircraft landing in the Haifa Street in central Baghdad after the Iraqi police source confirmed it, showing that they landed a helicopter emergency landing and landed another campaign.
