Sulaimaniya, 9 December / December (Rn) - The head of Peshmerga Affairs Committee, the martyrs and victims of genocide in Kurdistan's parliament on Friday to conduct of its investigation into the reasons for not activating the support fund families of the martyrs in the region.

According to Mohammed Chehrzori told the Kurdish news agency (Rn), that "the Kurdish parliament approved since 2007 a law establishing a fund to support families of the martyrs and victims of genocide in the region," adding that "the law provides for the guarantee of the Ministry of Martyrs and Anfal territorial Government to the establishment of the Fund."

He Chehrzori that "the law to establish a fund to support families of the martyrs and victims of genocide in the region is not activated until today," pointing out that "the Committee on the Peshmerga, the martyrs and victims of genocide in Kurdistan's parliament will hold a meeting with the Minister of Martyrs and Anfal territorial Government Aram Ahmed to declare activate Fund support and instructions to be submitted to the families of the martyrs. "

He continued that "the Government of the Territory will be covered by insurance part of the budget allocated to the Fund as will ensure members of the Kurdistan parliament and government ministers, deputy ministers, directors-general to secure the other part," noting that "the Fund will provide support to students from families of the martyrs who are studying in private universities as well as to provide for treating patients with Otovar martyrs and work for them and improve their living conditions. "

The Minister of Martyrs and Anfal Kurdistan Regional Government has said Aram Ahmed (Rn) earlier that "his ministry is preparing a draft law on people with the martyrs in the region aimed at improving the living conditions of the slide in the legal framework."
