Susan al-Saad : Iraq is losing 25 million dollars a day because of the sabotage of the Kirkuk-Ceyhan pipeline

BAGHDAD / NINA / Member of the Parliamentary Commission of oil and energy Susan Saad said on Friday that Iraq is losing 25 million dollars a day because of the acts of sabotage, which affected the transportation of oil pipeline from Kirkuk to Ceyhan Turkish port of.

Al-Saad confirmed in a press statement that there is a slowdown by the government in maintaining oil pipelines, although we noted that they need to use advanced technology to preserve them.

She added that those who were responsible for the protection of the pipeline complain of weakness of their abilities and their funding, and their weapons are old, and they need to develop their skills and raise their armament and other material capabilities.

Al-Saad called to be a future planning and to get expertise and high technologies, and linking to satellite and the adoption of advanced information network for the control of the carrier oil pipeline along the track and monitor every attempt to approach it and vandalize it.
