Opportunities for Study, Travel in US

Posted on 01 November 2013

The U.S. Embassy in Baghdad has announced that it are now accepting applications for the U.S. Government-sponsored Iraqi Young Leaders Exchange Programs (IYLEP).

This program will provide 250 Iraqi high school and undergraduate students a unique educational exchange experience in the United States during the summer of 2014.

Since their creation in 2007, the IYLEP undergraduate and high school programs have provided invaluable leadership and educational opportunities for more than 1200 students.

These programs directly support the goals of the U.S.-Iraq Strategic Framework Agreement to enhance mutual understanding and strengthen connections between the people of the United States and Iraq, and have created a cadre of young Iraqi leaders who continue to positively impact their communities.
