Timimi describes forming Regions as “Constitutional right”

Baghdad (AIN) -The member of the Regions and Provinces Parlaimentary Committee, Mansour al-Timimi, stressed that forming Regions is a constitutional right mentioned in the constitution but they must be formed away from the sectarian basis.
He stated to AIN “The constitution emphasized that Iraq is federal country and the Iraqis are going to decide this issue.”
“There are constitutional procedures before forming regions,” he added, noting that “Forming regions proved to be useful in many countries.”
