Baghdad (AIN) -Security force arrested wanted persons belong to Baath party and wanted for being invloved in the Dujail massacre that took place in 1982.
Security source stated to All Iraq News Agency (AIN) on Wednesday "A security force of the Iraqi Army (22) Brigade arrested (Ismail Abbas Roed Al-Mashaikhi, disguised under a false name Ahmed Mohamed Ali) who is wanted for Dujail massacre in Amiriya district of southern Baghdad."
The source added, "The arrest operation was based on intelligence information."
Dujail district witnessed in 1982 bloody incidents when the motorcade of the former president Saddam Hussein was attacked there.
As response for this assassination attempt Saddam Hussein ordered the military forces to attack the district and executed more than 143 of district citizens, among them less than 13 years old children.
The former president Saddam Hussein was sentenced to death and executed on December 30, 2006. / End
