Baghdad (AIN) –MP Abdul Hussein Abtan of the Citizen Bloc assured that “Some MPs are setting a strategic plan to settle the housing crisis in Iraq.”

“This plan will be presented to Parliament to be discussed and endorsed,” he stated to the All Iraq News Agency Monday.

Iraq suffers from a sever housing crisis due high prices of houses and lands and bad policies adopted by the former regime that led Iraqis to refrain from buying real-estates.

Financial allocations for housing sector within the 2012 budget did not reach 1% of the total budget. /End/
