Baghdad demanding Kurdistan extradite al-Hashemi in an escalation of the political crisis, the Iraqi government requested formally from the territory of Kurdistan delivered Vice President Tariq al-Hashimi and 14 other people. The Deputy interior minister for intelligence, Major General Hussein Kamal that the issue was "political" , and must be resolved "in cooperation" with the authorities of the region.
The spokesman for the Judicial Council in Erbil Dadiar Hamid for "sensitive issue". In an interview with "Arab" satellite Saudi Arabia and Dubai-based, President Jalal Talabani that Hashemi was "not a fugitive from justice. Is still vice president."
