Economic analyst Younis Al-Kaabi confirmed, on Sunday, that restoring the previous exchange rate contributes to solving the imbalance in the distribution of wealth to society.  Al-Kaabi said in an interview with Al-Maalouma that

after raising the exchange rate of the dollar, employees’ salaries lost 25% of their value,” stressing that

“the current government must lower the exchange rate, even if it is gradually to provide liquidity and financial strength to the poor class in society and motivate public markets.  He added,

"Reducing the exchange rate of the dollar moves the Iraqi economy again, not to end the state of economic depression that Iraq is currently suffering from after raising the price of the dollar," noting that

"lowering the dollar exchange rate will also help activate many private sectors and relieve pressure on the government."“.  He explained,

"The reduction process will end the state of fear among traders and they can re-import again, open new branches, and develop projects as well, which will help provide many job opportunities, and this is in the interest of the public sector."  He pointed out that

"the economy now responds to cases of demand only, and there are no new transformations in the economic reality and the private sector."

Al-Kazemi’s government worked to raise the exchange rate of the dollar against the Iraqi dinar, which negatively and significantly affected the reality of the entire poor class and increased their suffering.
