The Ministry of Agriculture announced, today, Wednesday, an agreement with a French company to establish the first laboratory for tissue culture in Iraq, while a meeting that brought together Minister Muhammad Al-Khafaji and deputies concluded recommendations in support of the agricultural sector.

A statement by the ministry, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), said that "the Minister of Agriculture, Engineer Muhammad Al-Khafaji, received today, Wednesday, a number of members of the House of Representatives from the governorates of Nineveh, Muthanna, Dhi Qar, Babil, Baghdad and Holy Karbala, with the Secretary General of Farming Associations, to discuss the agricultural reality in country".

According to the statement, Al-Khafaji stressed the ministry's keenness to overcome all difficulties that may face the agricultural process in all governorates, as well as providing fertilizers to farmers and farmers, according to the agricultural plan, and conducting agricultural pest control through the use of two military aircraft in cooperation with the Ministry of Defense.

Al-Khafaji announced that a French company had established a laboratory for tissue culture, the first in Iraq, with a grant from the French government.

The meeting concluded, according to the statement, with recommendations that included working to add an urgent supplementary budget, activating the agricultural initiative, scheduling debts, exemptions and taxes, emphasizing the governorates not to cut up agricultural lands, visiting Sinjar district, overcoming agricultural obstacles, not changing the gender of land, discussing the issue of wells and granting leave to farmers. who dug wells.
