Demonstrators in Baghdad demanding clean up judiciary

Hundreds of Iraqis demonstrated in front of the Supreme Judicial Council building in downtown Baghdad, demanding the resignation of President of the Council Medhat al-Mahmoud and demanding to fight rampant corruption in the judiciary.
The demonstrators carried banners denouncing Bamahmod and asking him to leave, accusing him that he was a major reason for the Prince of corruption that took place in the Iraqi judicial institution.
Experiencing Baghdad and several Iraqi provinces since more than a month and a wide demonstrations demanding to fight corruption in all aspects of the state, including the Iraqi judiciary and accountability of corrupt and correction of the political process.
The demonstrations took place Saturday in several Iraqi areas like Baghdad and Diwaniyah, Baquba and Diyala to denounce the slowdown in political reform and the fight against corruption, in addition to the Iranian penetration in the country.
The demonstrators raised slogans accusing the government of dragging its feet in political reform and the fight against corruption, also chanted slogans critical of the Iranian presence in the country, and poor services, and the role of religious parties, which they accused as one of the aspects of corruption in the political system that emerged in Iraq after 2003.
And calls for demonstrators Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi response Avenue to their demands and finish, which they described as foot-dragging in dealing with the demands of the demonstrators by setting a time limit for the implementation of actions announced in recent weeks, as protesters demanding disclosure of corrupt and hold them accountable in front of spend a fair and impartial.
