Barzani: the enemies of Kurdistan use the media to fight the rights of our people

The head of the province of Kurdistan , Massoud Barzani , on Wednesday, that the enemies of the people of Kurdistan uses the media as a tool to fight their rights, while noting that the practice of journalism in Kurdistan good skip steps and enjoy complete freedom away from any control.
Barzani said in a statement issued today, on the occasion of the 117th anniversary of the first Kurdish newspaper received Alsumaria News , a copy of "Kurdish press since the beginning of its establishment stood with struggling slides Kurdistan against the occupation and dictatorship in the various stages of the struggle of our people," noting that "raising awareness and stand injustice against the enemies of our people was the hallmark of the Kurdish press. "
Barzani said that "enemies of the people of Kurdistan uses the media as a tool to fight their rights," adding that "the Kurdish media can take a strong stand against attempts at bringing the split social and political chaos by the enemies of Kurdistan."
He Barzani that "our country is now facing an unfair attack by terrorists who are waging a psychological war against the people of Kurdistan and the Peshmerga through the media," calling on the media in Kurdistan to "stand against the attempts of terrorists by confronting terrorism and extremism intellectual."
He said Barzani that "the practice of journalism in Kurdistan Skip good steps and enjoy complete freedom away from any control," pointing out that "compared with many countries in the region, the media and the press in good condition in terms of the enjoyment of freedoms and the absence of constraints in the practice of journalism."
He explained that "freedom of the press will be a tool for the development of the community when there is a strong link between the press and social responsibility of the press and professional values," and urged the concerned authorities to "provide support for a slice of journalists conscious and effective reduction of their problems and improve their away from political interference."
It was the first Kurdish newspaper was founded in the twenty-second of April 1898, in the capital Almusriaalqahirh by Prince Miqdad Midhat Badrkhan.
And critical of many of the human rights defender organizations and freedom of the press interested in Iraq's record, including Kurdistan province, in dealing with journalists, Iraq reports high rates of operations targeting journalists.
