Baghdad (AIN) –The President, Jalal Talabani, assured to a Libyan delegation, the readiness of Iraq to develop the mutual relations.
A presidential statement received by AIN cited "Talabani received a Libyan delegation headed by the Libyan Housing Minister, Ali Hassan al-Sharif, accompanying by the Ambassador of the Arab League in Iraq, Naji Shalgham and some officials."
"Talabani referred to the historical relations between Iraq and Libya, assuring the readiness of Iraq to develop these relations to serve the interests of the peoples of the two countries," the statement added,
The statement pointed out "Sharif expressed the desire of his country to consolidate the bilateral relations in all the fields, appreciating Talabani's hospitality and efforts to develop the mutual relations."
The Libyan Housing Minister has arrived in Baghdad to participate in the meeting of the Arab Housing Ministers that will be held in Baghdad.
