Central Bank Governor Mustafa Ghaleb Makhaif received, on Monday, his Iranian counterpart, Abdel Nasser Hemmati, to discuss ways of banking cooperation between the two countries.

The central bank said in a statement that "Al-Iqtisad News" received a copy of it that “Central Bank Governor Mustafa Ghaleb Mkhaif received his Iranian counterpart Abdel Nasser Hemati to discuss ways of banking cooperation between the two countries.

He added, "The meeting discussed the framework of cooperation in the banking sector between the two sides and means of solutions and treatments for the financial dues of the Iranian side within the limits of the frameworks for making."

{International: Euphrates News} said the governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, Mustafa often, today Monday, in a meeting with Iranian counterpart Abdel Nasser mettle in Baghdad, "Iraqi officials argue the solution to the banking issues between the two countries and the problems would soon be resolved under the mechanisms of the treaty".

According to the news agency, Iranian and {Warren} has emphasized often that the central bank is "trying to continue the bank cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran and we will use the experience of Tehran in banking and finance".

He added that "all our efforts are to continue cooperation between the two countries will solve the existing problems in the area of financial claims, monetary and Iran".

And the governor of the Central Bank of Iraq that "there are some mechanisms that can be used to help in the promotion of cooperation in banking and monetary between the two countries and solve the existing problems".

He said, "We proposed the formation of a joint committee in the presence of responsible bankers and financial countries to find the solution necessary to resolve the financial issues between Iran and Iraq".

From his part, expressed the governor of the Central Bank of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and hoped that, in cooperation with his Iraqi counterpart, solving banking issues between the two countries.

Said Hemet "I hope the problems are resolved, banking and finance between the two countries under the determination and the will of the Iraqi authorities".

And the mettle of relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Iraq is important and very effective, and added that Tehran attaches great importance to development of cooperation with Baghdad.

He described the governor of the Central Bank of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Baghdad this morning heading a delegation to meet and consult with Iraqi officials, among them prime minister Mustafa al-kadhimi.
