Twilight News / The Ministry of Planning in the Government of the Kurdistan Region Thursday a memorandum of understanding with the Office of Coordination for Humanitarian Affairs Integrated and Development Council of the United Nations in Iraq to create a fund to support the achievement of the strategic objectives of the long-term development plan.

altAccording to a statement of the government of Kurdistan reported for "Twilight News", the Fund will be officially known as "joint program to achieve the visions of Kurdistan 2020", and will provide this program draw a suitable mechanism for the Kurdistan Regional Government to benefit from the experience of the United Nations system and development goals and programs to promote progress in the Kurdistan Region.

The Government of the Territory will be the main financier of the Fund, while the United Nations to be the main financial partner.

The program is scheduled to put into effect beginning in 2014, will be the first 20 draft of the joint program, particularly for the implementation of a number of businesses and activities in a number of different sectors will be determined by priority.

The United Nations organization, management and identify the resources needed to implement the program in question.

Said Ali Sindi, Minister of Planning of the Kurdistan Regional Government that the program would expand the volume of cooperation and coordination in the field of development in the Kurdistan Region, and will ensure strengthening of the single-window system to aid those that reach the Kurdistan Region in the field of development.

In turn, expressed Jacqueline بادكوك a coordinated integrated coordination office for humanitarian affairs and development of the United Nations in Iraq; happiness of the United Nations to work as a team with the Kurdistan Regional Government to achieve the goals and strategic plan of Kurdistan 2020.
