Iraqi PM Nouri Al-Maliki is said to be trying to remove Chairman of the Central Bank of Iraq Sinan Al-Shibibi from his position. The following 402-word report sheds light on the subject and tells what about Al-Shibibi and what about allegations of corruption against the Central Bank of Iraq. It also tells who is put forward to replace Al-Shibibi.

My understanding is that legally, Shabibi cannot be replaced until/upon his death or such severe health conditions that would prevent him from performing his job. And that his position with the CBI is a lifetime post. Maliki and crew have been trying for years now to get rid of Shabibi..they can't touch him.

The article itself seems highly suspicious in that they can't even spell Shabibi's name right.
