Khuzayi, Iranian Counterpart discuss mutual relations

Baghdad (AIN) –The Deputy PM, Khudhir al-Khuzayi, assured that the cooperation between Iraq and Iran has reached developed stages.

A statement received by AIN on Thursday cited “Khuzayi received his Iranian Counterpart at his office in Baghdad on Thursday in presence of the Iraqi Planning Minister, Ali al-Shikri, the Iranian ambassador and some other officials," notinjg that "The two sides discussed the mutual relations.”

“During the meeting, Khuzayi assured that the Iraqi- Iranian relations witness a good development and cooperation, assuring the necessity to develop the cooperation to be in all levels especially the Planning, Electricity, Industry and Oil,” the statement added.

According to the statement, Khuzayi stated that “Iraq is interested in developing the mutual relations between the two countries in order to exchange the experiences to serve the people of these countries.”

“For his part, The Iranian Deputy PM described the Iraqi-Iranian relations as being ideal, assuring the Iranian desire to develop them in all fields especially the economical and the commercial, appreciating Khuzayi's efforts to develop these relations,” the statement concluded. /End/
