Friday, 17 February 2012 19:28 | | |

Baghdad (AIN) –The Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, announced his rejection for the nomination of the Deputy Premier, Salih al-Mutleg, for the Vice-President post.

A statement by Maliki's office received by the Iraqiya Satellite Channel cited "Maliki rejects nomination of Mutleg for the VP post."

"Maliki will not discuss such issue with any side," the statement concluded.

Earlier, MP, Jawad al-Bazoni, of the State of Law Coalition revealed that "The Iraqi National Alliance suggested appointing the Deputy premier, Salih al-Mutleg for the Vice-President post to replace the judicially wanted VP Tariq al-Hashimi, while MP, Hamza al-Kartani, of the Iraqiya Slate assured that IS is studying the proposal submitted by the Iraqi National Alliance to replace the Judiciary wanted Vice-President, Tariq al-Hashimi, with the Deputy PM, Salih al-Mutleg, to settle the current crisis.

The leader within the Iraqiya Slate, Salih al-Mutleg stated in several press conferences described Maliki as "Dictator".

Mutleg's accusations against Maliki were as a result to the tension between the IS and the SLC, headed by Maliki.

Maliki requested the parliament to withdraw confidence from Mutleg, the leader within Iraqiya Slate, for being "unqualified" and "lacks integrity", when the leader within the SIC, Yasin Majid, mentioned that in a press conference. /End/
