قرر البنك المركزي ، امس الاربعاء، إعادة هيكلة العملة المحلية بهدف تطوير نظام المدفوعات في البلاد . Central Bank has decided, on Wednesday, the restructuring of the local currency in order to develop the payment system in the country.
وقال مستشار البنك مظهر محمد صالح إن"البنك المركزي العراقي قرر البدء بتنفيذ مشروع ستراتيجي طويل الامد ، يتخصص بإعادة هيكلة العملة المحلية لتطوير وتنمية نظام المدفوعات العراقية "، موضحاً ان"البنك سيقوم برفع مستوى العملة المحلية واستحداث عملات جديدة تصل إلى 100 دولار أميركي والتي من شأنها ان تعالج الفجوة الاقتصادية في نظام المدفوعات المالية ". ونقلت وكالة أنباء "آكانيوز" عن صالح قوله ان " هذا المشروع ، الذي بدأنا العمل به تدريجياً ، بحاجة إلى دعم الحكومة والبرلمان ، لاسيما انه سينظم القدرة الشرائية مقارنة بالمدخولات الاقتصادية ". ويطالب صندوق النقد الدولي العراق بعدد من الإجراءات الاقتصادية من ضمنها خصخصة المصارف ورفع الاصفار الثلاثة من العملة المحلية وايفاء الديون والتعويضات التي تقع على عاتق العراق ، في حال رغبة العراق بتلقي دعم الصندوق الدولي.
