BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: The National Conference will not succeed in solving all problems among the political blocs, but will implement the beginning processes for the political process to solve the present problems in Iraq, Kurdish Alliance MP Shwan Mohammed Taha expressed today.
"All political blocs have their own suggestions for pending problems," Taha told Aswat al-Iraq.
He added that the Kurdish paper has points related to the implementation of Article 140 of the Constitution, oil and gas law, and the balance in governmental posts.
Taha stressed that all the participants agreed to abide by the constitution and were united in their desire to draft a road map to overcome all problems.
The preparatory committee for the National Conference held its meeting on Sunday with the presence of six MPs from the National Alliance, 4 MPs from al-Iraqiya Bloc and 2 MPs from the Kurdish Alliance.
Earlier today it was announced by the Sadrist Trend that al-Iraqiya Bloc agreed to disinclude discussions on the ongoing cases involving Vice-President Tariq al-Hashimi and deputy premier Saleh al-Mutlaq.
