Proposals of political blocs to be discussed next week, says Khuzayi

Baghdad (AIN) –The Vice-President, Khudair al-Khuzayi, revealed that "The proposals of the political blocs and all the pending issues will be discussed during a meeting for the Preparatory Committee during the next week."




A Presidential statement received by AIN cited "The meeting of the Preparatory Committee which was held at the house of the President, Jalal Talabani, on last Monday was successful where all sides participating in the political process agreed upon resorting to the constitution to settle all the disputes and emphasizing the independence of the judicial system."



"While meeting the consultant US Administration, Khuzayi revealed that the meeting of the next week is intended to involve all partners in the dialogues," the statement added.




"Both sides discussed the means of developing bilateral relations," the statement assured.




"For his part, the US official confirmed that the US Administration is observing the positive steps of the Iraqi Government to involve all sides in the political process, praising Khuzayi's efforts to eliminate the political crisis," the statement concluded.




The INA presented its proposal over its vision concerning the upcoming national meeting while the Iraqiya Slate and the Kurdistani Alliance during the meeting of the Preparatory Committee on last Monday.




A presidential statement issued on last Sunday night called for a meeting for the Preparatory Committee which involves representatives for the Iraqi National Alliance, the Iraqiya Slate and the Kurdistani Alliance, in Baghdad.

The political process witnesses complicated disputes that coincided with the US troops' withdrawal especially between the Iraqiya Slate and the State of Law Coalition when the IS decided to suspend attendance of its MPs to parliament sessions to protest "marginalization and monopolization policies" adopted by the Iraqi government
