Received Prime Minister Nuri Kamal al-Maliki in his official office today by the Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Ben Helli.

He welcomed the readiness of sovereignty of all Arab countries to attend the Summit to be held in Baghdad, and hoped to be a successful summit because of the nature of the circumstances and the level of attendance expected.
He called on Prime Minister the need to work on the development agenda of the Arab summit, and discuss cooperation in the political, security, economic, social and combating terrorism and extremism.

He stressed the support of Iraq to the Arab initiative on the Syrian crisis, stressing the need to work at a faster pace to ensure that the desired change without slipping into violence and the occurrence of more victims.

For his part, Assistant Secretary-General of the League of Arab States: that all the Arab countries had confirmed their willingness to attend the Summit of Baghdad, and that Arab representation will be at the highest levels of many Arab countries, including higher than average for the typical peaks of the former.
Mr. Ahmed Ben Helli, that he would meet with Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari, the finalization of the Summit and official invitations to be carried Iraqi delegates to the various Arab countries.
