{Erbil: Euphrates News} A source familiar with the Kurdish Vice President Tareq al-Hashemi awaiting the return of President Jalal Talabani from Germany to the country to surrender to the court in Baghdad.
The Supreme Judicial Council issued an arrest warrant against Vice President Tareq al-Hashemi on the back of recognition of a number of bodyguards of having committed terrorist acts on his orders.
The source told the News} {Euphrates today, "Hashimi intends to surrender himself to the judicial authorities in Baghdad and has hired five lawyers to defend him, but he Antzeraudh Talabani in the country to start extradition proceedings himself."
The source denied "reports that indicated that the authorities of the Kurdistan region to Baghdad al-Hashemi delivered today or tomorrow," noting that "al-Hashemi is not imprisoned in Kurdistan until it is handed over to Baghdad, but it is a resident at the child for the presidency in the province of Sulaymaniyah."
