Baghdad (AIN) –The Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, assured that "The current relations between Iraq and the United State is balanced and based on mutual interests," noting that "There is no any US soldier in Iraq except for the US military trainers whose presence are in Iraq is determined by the agreement concluded between Iraq and the US."

He revealed during a TV interview that "Iraq made a deal to buy weapons from the US including 32 aircrafts of F16 type."

"Iraq paid the first part of the deal's money which is for 18 aircrafts which were approved by the US Congress while the other aircrafts are still waiting for the US Congress approval," he emphasized.

Over the situation in Syria, Maliki denied absolutely supporting the Syrian government financially, assuring that "Iraq did not pay even one dollar to Syria." /End/
