Baghdad (AIN) -The Vice-President Khudhayir al-Khuzae phoned the President Jalal Talabani to check on his health after the surgery he underwent in Germany last week.

A statement by the Office of Khuzae received by All Iraq News Agency (AIN) on Sunday said that "VP Khuzae wished President Talabani a speedy recovery and to return home safely."

The office of President Jalal Talabani announced in a press statement that the President had underwent "a successful surgical intervention to his spine in Germany and he is in a good health now." /End/
