World Bank hails Iraq's accession to the initiative of Transparency International

The World Bank praised Iraq's accession to the International Initiative for transparency in the extractive industries, with parliamentary sources informed that the International Monetary Fund called for the House of Representatives not to enact laws that tied for the Iraqi economy which seeks to integrate with the global economies.

The Special Representative of the World Bank in Iraq, Mary Helen that the Iraqi government made a great effort in the project to join the initiative of transparency in the extractive industries and reflected the seriousness and commitment by the government.
Helen confirmed the improvement in a number of aspects of it after activating the mechanisms of spending mail.
And advisers discussed the Government's recent progress in the implementation of projects financed by the World Bank in the country.
