BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Turkmen Front MP Nabeel Harbo announced today that his affiliated bloc stands by its decision to boycott the parliamentary sessions till the national conference preparatory committee ends its deliberations.

President Jalal Talabani called for the national conference on 29 December 2011.

In a press statement for Aswat al-Iraq, Harbo added that "if the preparatory committee, consisting of all political blocs, included the demands of Iraqiya bloc in the agenda of the conference, the bloc will resume attending sessions".

Harbo added that President Talabani is expected to arrive here, Baghdad, today or tomorrow to determine the date of the national conference, which is expected to be convened by the end of this month.
