The Islamic State of Iraq related to Al Qaeda claimed, on Tuesday, responsibility for Baghdad’s explosions last Thursday which caused the death and injury of 260 people. The Islamic State of Iraq threatened to carry out further attacks.

“Our Security detachments in Baghdad simultaneously hit elected and cautiously picked targets,” revealed a statement signed by the Islamic State of Iraq and published on Islamic websites. “Operations targeted security headquarters, military convoys, the filthy Dajjal army groups in addition to heretic security, military and administrative leaders of the Green Zone government,” the statement advanced.

“One of our targets were headquarters of Criminal Investigation Directorate located in Rusafa Baghdad and affiliated to the headquarters of the so called Integrity Commission,” the statement added.

“One of our Sunni heroes managed to break through tight security cordons surrounding these headquarters in Karada Street and enter the complex’ courtyard using his car set to explode,” the statement revealed noting that the explosion’s intensity damaged the internal building, killed most of people inside it and destroyed tens of military wheels and vehicles.

The statement also called Sunnis not to believe media lies or treason accusations of some Sunnis. “The Islamic State of Iraq knows where and when to strike,” the statement stressed pointing out that the Mujahedeen will never stand with tied hands.
