Parliamentary integrity offers the best solution to stop corruption of taxes and border crossings

The deputy chairman of the integrity committee, MP Alia Nassif, stressed on Saturday that
fighting, stopping and preventing corruption in the customs authority or at border crossings is very difficult and no executive body can reduce or prevent it except by applying the automation system and a link to the central bank.
"The automation system has become necessary to be applied by the government as it represents the best and only solution to control corruption at Customs and border crossings," Nassif said in a statement to Al-Malouma.
"The automation system should be linked directly to the central bank in order to control the movement of funds collected by taxes and outlets, as well as its effective contribution to stopping the theft of public money," he added. On the other hand, Nassif stressed that
"the investigations on the issue of tax money or what she called the theft of the century are proceeding according to the correct legal mechanisms and multiple investigative committees to uncover those involved in the theft". Finished / 25m
