Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi confirmed that Iraq will propose the establishment of a joint development bank among the countries gathered at the Jeddah summit to be devoted to joint projects.

Al-Kazemi said in an interview with Al-Iraqiya News, which was followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that

"Iraq has become an important position in international politics and an influential figure among the Arab countries," noting that

"Iraq will present at the Jeddah Summit the establishment of a joint development bank among the gathered countries to be allocated to projects common".  He added,

"The joint bank will create great job opportunities for Iraqi youth," noting that

"Iraq is an important country in the region and will not be on the side of a particular axis."  He continued,

"We have completed the Gulf electrical connection, which is an important factor in providing cheap energy to Iraq."
