The industry announces the
production of silicon materials for alternative energy supplies and electronic devices

The Ministry of Industry and Minerals announced today, Tuesday, the
production of silicon materials that are used in alternative energy products and electronic devices, while
revealing the volume of processing the products of the Mining Industries Company within one year.
The ministry's media center told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that
"the implemented plans of the ministry encourage mineral investment to create products that are used in various industries, which
resulted in a number of contracts with investing companies to produce salt of all kinds, including
filtered salt,
industrial salt, and
table salt, in addition to Investing in new production lines to produce
chlorine,
hypochlorites and
other products.
He added, "Al-Furat General Company has supplemented the production line of the Mining Industries Company with (14) thousand tons of industrial salt as a raw material for the production of chlorine, which formed a clear complementary picture between the ministry's companies." He added,
"In cooperation with the security forces, some iron dust quarries have been secured, as
production will start soon to supply the Iraqi cement factories with the iron oxides they need to form an integrated industrial extension whose links were previously separate," noting that
"our cadres are currently working on benefiting from the experience."
The pioneering experience that took place in the Mining Industries Company, and
it successfully bore fruit for the production of ferro silicon as a leading mining industry.” He added,
"The silicon industries witnessed a leap in quantity and quality,
which are used in alternative energy requirements and also in the field of various electronic devices," noting that
"this encouraged the ministry to prepare an extensive study that will see the light in the coming weeks to attract solid international companies with the aim of producing more than 18 silicon materials.".
And regarding the processing of the products of the Mining Industries Company, the office stated that
"the volume of processing of our company's products for the Iraqi industrial sector or the construction sector, during a period of one year, amounted to about 10 billion dinars, in addition to
supplying the southern fertilizers with water treatment and filtering materials," stressing
"the success of our company in the production of aluminum shell inside in different construction industries.
