Today, Monday, Finance Minister Ali Allawi issued directives to the customs and free zones.

The media office of the Ministry of Finance said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (conscious), that

"Finance Minister Ali Abdul Amir Allawi conducted an inspection visit to the General Authority of Customs and the Iraqi Free Zones Authority, accompanied The applicant in the Customs Authority, "noting that

the visit that included the departments and people of the authority included writing several directives that would develop and promote tasks and capabilities, and to follow up the intensification of efforts to improve the level of services provided, as well as direct knowledge of the progress of the approved administrative and technical procedures."

Allawi stressed that "the visit came with the

    aim of standing on obstacles and

    diagnosing the weaknesses in the performance of institutions, and

    working to overcome them as quickly as possible and

    overcoming complex procedures and

    making efforts according to the maximum available capabilities in the service of the public interest",


pointing out that

"one of the most important priorities is to raise the efficiency of employees and affiliates to perform their work with professionalism And very careful. "

Allawi stressed "the necessity of redoubling all efforts between the various institutions operating in the customs centers and free zones, and direct coordination between them, with the aim of

    making a qualitative boom in the customs sector and Iraqi free zones,

    reducing systematic manipulation and smuggling cases, and

    encouraging foreign investments,"


stressing "the importance of working in the spirit of one team in The way to

    protect the national economy,

    maximize the aspect of non-oil revenues, and

    revitalize the local sectors.
