Planning is looking to reconsider commercial laws

The Ministry of Planning discussed reconsidering commercial laws in line with the new direction of the Iraqi state.

The media office of the ministry stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that

"the legal department in the Ministry of Planning held its fourth meeting, which was devoted to discussing the reconsideration of commercial laws in accordance with the new direction of the Iraqi state, and whether the laws in force that pertain to the commercial aspect in line with the reality of the situation."

Hana Ibrahim Ismail, the director general of the department, said, according to the statement, that "the meeting witnessed the presentation of several ideas about the mechanism of work in the team or subcommittee in the ministry, each according to its specialization in the

    Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control, the

    Central Bureau of Statistics, the

    National Center for Administrative Development and Information Technology, and the

    Iraqi Accreditation Authority And also from the

    Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce, the

    Federation of Iraqi Industries and the

    Baghdad Chamber of Commerce, in addition to

    other formations of the ministry.

She added, "The committee adopted a tendency to study laws, each according to its competence, whether they affect the commercial aspect, by interacting with these laws and working with them if they need legislative intervention, amendment, change or merging in some laws or canceling some of them."
