Masrour Barzani: Kurdistan will provide Europe with energy

The Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, Masrour Barzani, spoke on Monday about the region's intention to compensate for the energy shortage in Europe.
"We continue to invest in more power plants and renewable energy sources to ensure our future,"
Barzani said during an energy conference in Dubai. At the same time, we continue to develop export capabilities, and I am confident that Kurdistan will soon become an important source of energy for the increasing demand in the world, and we will become a gas exporter to the rest of Iraq, Turkey and Europe in the near future, and we will help meet their energy security needs.”
He added, "The road is still long, although we have expanded our capabilities and faced many problems, and that the United States recently expressed its interest in our gas sector and provided material support as part of efforts to increase gas production."
