The Minister of Agriculture, Muhammad Al-Khafaji, participated in the International Conference on Fisheries, held in Saudi Arabia.

The ministry said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "in order to consolidate the role of the fish sector in the country, the Minister of Agriculture, Engineer Muhammad Al-Khafaji, participated in the activities of the International Conference on Fisheries, hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with the participation of 29 Arab and foreign countries.

The conference aims, according to the ministry. To encourage investment in the field of aquaculture and to find a scientific platform for that, in addition to getting acquainted with the latest advanced technologies in this field for sustainable production in this sector, which has a role in achieving food security.
