The Federation of Saudi Chambers of Commerce confirmed today, Monday, that there are calls to open more border crossings with Iraq and investment opportunities in 7 sectors, while noting that

the electrical connection will make the two countries one country.

The head of the union, Ajlan Abdul Aziz Al-Ajlan, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the Saudi private sector is optimistic and is fully confident in the great support of the Iraqi-Saudi political leaders to develop and support the economy and investment, and

there is a confirmed desire between the private sectors in the two countries," noting that

"there is Tremendous opportunities exist in Iraq and Saudi Arabia, and a common interest for the two countries to develop these relations.”

Al-Ajlan added, "We count on the private sectors to develop relations, and there are ongoing meetings to overcome all challenges," stressing

"the need to invest in available opportunities."

He pointed out that "there is a call to open more border crossings between the two countries," noting that

"the officials in Iraq and Saudi Arabia have expressed their desire to solve the problems, which is a matter of happiness because the leaders in Iraq and Saudi Arabia support this trend."

He stressed, "The rate of trade exchange between the two countries, which amounted to 15% during the past year, is considered an important percentage," expecting that

"the percentage will double with the follow-up of the private sectors and the support of political leaders."

He continued: "The Saudi Minister of Commerce confirmed that the Crown Prince informed him that he would be responsible for the file of cooperation with the Iraqi side, and this made us happy, and

we affirm that whatever the obstacles, the will will solve them, and

this gives faith that there are enormous opportunities that Iraq and Saudi Arabia should benefit from."

He pointed out that "there are investments in all fields, including seven in water, energy, food, manufacturing, trade, entertainment and tourism, and that

the electrical connection soon will make Iraq and Saudi Arabia one country," noting that

"Iraq has areas for growth, success and attraction for international companies because it is a country with great wealth in addition to There are common links between the two countries."
