Economists say that Iraq is too late in the implementation of economic development projects

{Baghdad} Euphrates News - Economists confirmed that Iraq is still behind in economic development.


The head of the Iraqi government had earlier predicted that Iraq tops the list of countries that have succeeded in economic development over the next two years.



He said economic expert and director of the Center on the Iraqi market Ke Ji told News} {Euphrates, "Iraq is still behind in development and investment laws and procedures because of bureaucratic red tape that characterize the Iraqi state."



"The Iraqi government did not work to strengthen its role in the implementation of investment projects, the concern that hangs over foreign investors about the security situation in Iraq."




He continued that "the problem of development in Iraq not to carry out development projects have priority for the needs of the citizens of the main services Bmtat water and sewer, housing and modern markets."



In turn, said a member of Iraqi Organization for Economic and Development Ibrahim al-Shara's Euphrates News} {"The 2011 budget has not implemented the projects and economic development are important because of poor planning and management, which suffer from the economic system in the Iraqi state."



Shara added that "the government's assertions that Iraq will top the list of countries that have succeeded in economic development but it is a form of fiction because of the economic legacy that has plagued Iraq."



He explained that "the development problem in Iraq is in need of economic security, legislation and both factors are not available in Iraq."




For his part, economist and President of the Association of Iraqi businessmen dominant al-Baghdadi's News} {Euphrates that "economic development depends on the extent of Iraq's ability to attract international companies to the task of implementation of investment projects."




He added that the "economic investment was not Najkha through the budget in 2011 because of political differences that companies fear the integration of markets in Iraq."

The UN reports indicated that more than seven million Iraqis are living below the poverty line in the country despite the increase in the size of Iraq's oil exports to 2.5 million barrels per day

According to the Ministry of Planning said that Iraq needs U.S. $ 6.8 billion to reduce the level of poverty in the country.
