Minister of Finance Ali Abdul Amir Allawi on Thursday, chaired the expanded meeting of the Federal General Budget Strategy for the Mediterranean 2022-2024.
"The meeting discussed the mechanisms for the development of public budgets and ways to reform the systems adopted by the preparation of budget strategies for future years in line and the need for the Iraqi economy to achieve comprehensive economic development," the ministry said in a statement.
"The focus of the upcoming budget strategy towards activation and maximizing non-oil financial resources, defining revenue and emphasis on the need to adopt the program budget to achieve the best performance according to plans and time."
He noted that "develop appropriate mechanisms for funding and involvement of the private sector and the adoption of the achievement of strategic projects with multiplier effects and report on external and interior debt and scheduled by the Department of Public Religion."
