(Baghdad: Al Furat News)
The Saudi economic expert, Abdul Karim Jihad, revealed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is seeking to raise trade exchange with Iraq to 10 billion dollars.

Jihad said {to Euphrates News} that "Saudi Arabia seeks to raise trade exchange from one billion to 10 billion dollars, which will include many sectors, and we have felt great enthusiasm on both sides to raise the percentage more in all areas."

He added, "The Kingdom does not see there are agreements between Iraq and Saudi Arabia, but rather a great wedding and a great celebration for this cooperation, and now we begin to see the fruit of this cooperation and agreements have begun to become clear.

Perhaps not between day and night we will see the results, but it will be compensated in the coming days."

Jihad pointed out, "There are voices trying to influence this agreement, but we are now in great joy to close security, political and economic cooperation between the two countries."

He also stressed, "The reliance of the Iraqi-Saudi agreements on a solid base that seeks a strong rapprochement between the two countries and the leaderships of the two countries are determined on this cooperation to make up for what has happened."

On the most important sectors that will invest in Iraq, Jihad explained, "The most prominent investments will be in the energy sector, reconstruction and trade exchange at the agricultural level," noting that

"the opening of the Arar border crossing will constitute an important gateway to all these agreements."

The economic expert concluded, "The global economic crisis is an opportunity to strengthen cooperation between the two countries and an opportunity to unite all Arab states."
