The Parliamentary Legal Committee affirmed today, Thursday, the necessity of following three stages to enhance non-oil revenues and confront the current economic crisis.
Committee member Hussein Al-Oqabi said in a statement received by (Iraqi Media News Agency / INA) that "the economic crisis that the country is going through is the core of revenues, calling on the government to go towards non-oil revenues that are in three stages."
He added that "the first stage is holding the corrupt people accountable for contracts, manipulating their prices and
dealing with waste in the public budget, especially in unnecessary expenses that can be dispensed with."
Al-Aqabi added that "the last stage includes searching for investment in vital areas such as investing in the energy, gas and industrial sectors and activating them."
