A parliamentary committee talks about a new source of state revenue

On Tuesday, the Committee on Agriculture, Water and Marshlands spoke about a new resource represented by exporting surplus agricultural crops to form a new resource for state revenues.
The head of the committee, Salam Al-Shammari, said in a statement, "Economy News" received a copy of it, "The successful agricultural and irrigation plans during the last period have resulted in large production with many agricultural crops."
He added, "The increase in the amount of water and successful reclamation plans led to an increase in the quantities of lands cultivated from different agricultural crops, which led to abundant production competing with the importer and will end dependence on it during the next few period."
Al-Shammari continued, "Ending the import of many vegetables and fruits crops will provide an important resource for the farmer and will contribute to the export process, which will add a new and important resource to the state's general budget."
The head of the committee stressed, "The concerned authorities are cooperating with the committee and others to return agricultural and animal production to its previous era and not to place obstacles in the way of its development."
It is mentioned that the Ministry of Agriculture announces from time to time an abundance of local production of agricultural crops and the suspension of imports available from them in local markets.
