(AGI) Baghdad - The mixed Italy-Iraq Commission has expressed its "appreciation" for ENI's activities in the Zubair oil field. The Commission met in Baghdad under the presidency of foreign ministers, Franco Frattini and Hoshyar Zebari. In the final statement, it was underlined that the Italian group "is ahead of the forcasted schedule for extraction activities and is financing significant projects to improve the social and human context in the area, in close cooperation with Iraqi authorities." The document also notes that, "the opportunity to involve Italian companies in the production of electrical energy from gas associated from the extraction of crude oil" is being evaluated. . .
