Maliki confirms to the commander of the U.S. Central Forces Command the need for more coordination

BAGHDAD / Nina /-- Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki confirmed during receiving Gen. Lloyd Austin the commander of the U.S. Central Forces Command the need for more cooperation and coordination between the two sides in the military sphere and armaments.

Talks during the meeting focused on the latest political and security developments in Iraq, according to a statement issued by Maliki's office today .

For his part, Gen. Austin stressed the need to intensify cooperation in the field of training, equipping , expressing the US readiness to support Iraq as is needs to defeat terrorism.
