Iraq: The Central Bank is expected to withdraw licenses for five commercial banks

Abdul Basit Turki Saeed governor of the Iraqi Central Bank on Monday that the bank is expected to pull the licenses of five commercial banks are unable or unwilling to increase their capital before the expiry of a deadline for the end of this month .
In a statement on the sidelines of a financial conference in Dubai explained glad that other banks committed decision or took steps but those five banks that declined to give their names do not work on it .
indicated to Reuters that the CBI put pressure on private sector banks to increase their capital to 250 billion dinars (215 million dollars) in the context of efforts to strengthen the banking system and raise its efficiency .
