Baghdad/ NINA /-- Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki held today the second closed-door meeting with U.S. Vice President Joe Biden in the White House.
The two men addressed the developments of bilateral relations and what can be done to deepen cooperation and coordination between the two countries , particularly in the fight against terrorism and the development of relations of friendship and partnership between the two countries.
A familier press source said : " al-Maliki an agreement has been reached by the two sides on a series of steps to be carried out by the two sides to achieve a major shift in bilateral relations according to the provisions of the Strategic Framework Agreement.
On the other hand al-Maliki received at his residence in Washington , U.S. Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel, in the presence of a number of U.S. officials and the U.S. Army Chief of Staff Gen. Martin Dempsey.
During the meeting the both sides discussed the latest political and security developments in Iraq and the region as well as Iraq's requirs to meet the security challenges experienced by Iraq. / End
