Parliament rapporteur: Najafi gives parliamentary blocs to next Monday as a last chance to pass the election law (PFP)

BAGHDAD / obelisk: announced the decision of the House of Representatives, Mohammed al-Khalidi, on Thursday evening, the House Speaker Osama Najafi gave the parliamentary blocs last chance, until next Monday to pass a law after the parliamentary elections and agreed to postpone the day.

Khalidi said in a press conference held by the parliament building and attended "obelisk" "The dispute over the paragraphs of the next election law is still going on between the political blocs," noting that "the Presidency of the Council of parliamentary blocs awarded last chance, to agree on the law until next Monday."

Khalidi pointed out that "the most important paragraphs of disagreement between the blocks are, lots of quota and the electoral system and the compensatory seats, in addition to the electoral threshold."

It was supposed to vote in Parliament in session, on Wednesday, the election law, but Najafi postponed a vote on it, after the Legal Committee demanded it to today's meeting Thursday.

The source added that "the parliament session will include a first reading of the proposed law on the delegation of authority (Committee of the Regions and provinces) (Article 5)," noting that he "will read the second reading of the draft law on the Martyrs Foundation (Commission of the martyrs and victims and political prisoners) (Article 28)."

He pointed out that "the meeting will include as well as the second reading of the draft law on universities and colleges (Commission on Higher Education and Scientific Research, Legal Committee) (Article 56)
